On our own behalf: Staff change in the area of accessible culture

After more than eight years at kubia, Annette Ziegert left our team at the end of September this year. She was instrumental in establishing and conceptualising the area of inclusion and accessibility in cultural work at kubia and developed and implemented a large number of well thought-out and highly successful advisory and training formats for cultural professionals in NRW. She also launched the series “Von Kunst aus” and “Basiswissen Barrierefreiheit” and organised the major international ALL IN conference several times together with Un-Label. We will miss her clever mind and critical eye, her good ideas and her great care and precision. As co-director of the Bonn VIDEONNALE 20 and freelance consultant, she will remain part of the cultural scene in NRW.

Her duties will be taken over from 1 October 2024 by Christoph Brammertz, who has been working at kubia as a communications and public relations officer since the beginning of 2022. He was responsible for setting up the new accessible kubia website. With his knowledge of inclusive communication and mediation, he will be working in tandem with Isabell Rosenberg to further develop our offering on the topic of disability.
